How to integrate Artwork Flow with Asana

Step 1:
Select your Asana project
- Open Asana and go to the project you want to integrate.
- Copy the project URL from your browser’s address bar.
- Share the copied URL with the Artwork Flow team.

Step 2:
Generate an Asana API token
- Open Settings in Asana. (Only Asana Admin users have access to this.)
- Navigate to Apps and click Create New Token. Asana Apps
- Do not connect to the existing Artwork Flow app listed here.
- Enter a token name, agree to the Asana API Terms, and generate your token.
- Copy and save the generated API token.
- Important: You won’t be able to access this token again once you close the tab.
- Share the token securely with the Artwork Flow team.
- Your Asana project is now ready to be integrated with Artwork Flow!

Step 1:

Start a label project in Artwork Flow directly from Asana. Simply fill in key details like project name (task name), project manager (assignee), due date, and project template. Additional custom fields can be configured based on project needs.

Once a task is created in Asana and a project template is selected, Artwork Flow automatically generates a project with predefined task assignees and deadlines. Users can also control when the project starts by setting a specific trigger, such as changing the status to ‘Approved for kickoff.’

Step 3:
Get instant notifications
As soon as the project is triggered, Asana sends an automated notification with a direct link to the project in Artwork Flow. This keeps everyone updated without switching platforms.

Step 4:
Manage proofing & approvals effortlessly
Once the project is live in Artwork Flow, the assignees can get started on their respective tasks based on the selected project template. Reviewers can annotate files, give approvals, and ensure compliance with built-in proofing tools. As tasks progress, the project status updates automatically.

Step 5:
Automatic updates in Asana
When the artwork is approved, the Asana task is automatically marked as Completed, and a direct link to the finalized project in Artwork Flow is added—no manual updates required.
